I do woodworking and remodel homes. I was looking for an efficient compressor to handle not only my business, but to use around the house as well. When I began hearing about the Grip-rite GR152CM Twin Tank Air Compressor, I started to do some research. This is an all-around great unit. Of all the things that I am impressed with the most important to me is the stability. The placing of the two pontoon tanks with one on each side makes it hard to tip over. It even is sturdy on an incline. It also has great power at 125 PSI and can handle two smaller nail guns or tools. As I did more research I learned there is allot about this compressor that is worth noting. Let me share with you my findings.

Performance

The most important is that the Grip-rite GR152CM puts out a pretty decent 2.6 CFM at 90 PSI. This makes it just above average for similar units. It has a quick 10-second recovery time and a 50-second pump on rate. The lifespan of this unit will be approximately 4,000 hours due to it being oil-free. It is very portable at 37 pounds and is easy to carry. The rugged roll bars are super strong and protect the unit perfectly. The max PSI is 125, which for a quality compressor of this size is average.

Target User Information

The perfect user for the Grip-Rite GR152CM is to be the DIYer for home use. Because of its stability it’s great for unusual angled surfaces and roofs. I wouldn’t recommend it for a construction crew as a main compressor, but it would be an excellent backup. No one wants to lose money or time on a broken compressor. The Grip-rite would be perfect to keep your crew going. I love that it is low to no maintenance due to its oil-free pump. Here are some pros and cons to help you decide.
